Thomas Vagedes
  Thomas H. Vagedes, 76, 807 W. Butler St., Coldwater, died Sept. 1, 2006, at his residence.
He was born March 8, 1930, in Cincinnati, to Herman and Rosemary Browder Vagedes. On April 11, 1953, he married Gloria Avery, who died Sept. 30, 2003.
Survivors are three daughters, Cecelia Ann (Gregory) Bornhorst, New Bremen, Marilyn Jean (Kenneth) Sanders, Huntington, Ind., and Linda Carol Nisewarner, Celina; a brother, Charles (Carol) Kirk, Coldwater; two sisters, Charlene (Victor) May, New Weston, and Eleanor (Leo) Berning, Maria Stein; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Thomas J. Vagedes, and a grandchild.
He retired from Huffy Bicycle Company, Celina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, American Legion Post 470, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135 and Fraternal Order of Aerie Eagles 3025, all of Coldwater.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
