Menno Schwartz
Menno M. Schwartz, 70, of Geneva, Ind., died at 4:37 a.m. Sept. 30, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Hartville, to Jacob E. and Mary N. Miller Schwartz. He married Barbara Ann Eicher, who survives.
Also surviving are eight sons, Willie, New Concord, Ben and Johnny, both of Geneva, Menno Jr. and Ruben, both of Bryant, Ind., Leander, Rochester, Ind., Robert, Celina, and Jake, Bluffton, Ind.; five daughters, Judy Girod, Berne, Ind., Mariana Wengerd, Susan Schwartz and Barbara Miller, all of Geneva, and Nancy, Bryant; nine brothers, Raymond, Nathaniel and Leander, all of Geneva, Jake, Ruben, Jonas, and William, all of Berne, Enos, Spencerville, Ind., and Joe, Monroe, Ind.; seven sisters, Elizabeth Neuenschwander, Burr Oak, Mich., Lucy Zehr, Grabill, Ind., Edith Eicher, Berne, Rosie Hilty and Maryann Schwartz, Geneva, Katie, Monroe, Ind., and Martha Schmidt, Salem, Ind.; 84 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Atlee and six grandchildren.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Services are 9 a.m. Tuesday at the home of Menno M. Schwartz, 5166 W.-960 S., Geneva, Bishop David N. Wengerd officiating. Burial is at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Adams County, Ind.
Calling is 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Menno M. Schwartz home.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva.
