Harold Jones
Harold P. Jones, 83, of Greenville, died Oct. 2, 2006, at Veterans Administration Hospice, Dayton.
He was born Jan. 4, 1923, in New Weston, to William and Elsie Chrisler Jones. His wife, Mary P. Miller, died March 23, 2005.
Survivors are four sons, Richard (Susan), Joey A. (Linda), Thomas B. (Mary Jane) and Steven P. (Sandy); two daughters, Renee Hoblit and Kathy Gail Gray; a sister, Joan (Owen) Shoemaker; a sister-in-law, Florence; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, William, Donald and James; and sisters-in-law, Virginia and Frances.
He retired from Union City Body Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist (EUM) Church, Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 143, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7262 and American Legion Post 140, all of Greenville.
Services are 8 p.m. Thursday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Sylvia McKibben officiating.
Calling is after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
