Kimberly Farmer
Kimberly Kaye Farmer, 41, 5480 Mercer-Van Wert County Line Road, rural Rockford, died at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 7, 2006, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Death was due to an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 21, 1965, in Van Wert, to Larry J. and Linda K. Royer Holden, who survive in Convoy. On Nov. 15, 1997, she married Jeffrey M. Farmer, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Tyler and Jordan Gibson, rural Rockford; a brother, Steve (Shelly) Holden, Convoy; two grandmothers, Agnes Royer, Convoy, and Virginia M. Gamble, Van Wert; and father and mother-in-law, John and Judy, Rockford.
Deceased are grandparents, Paul and Leta Holden and Calvin Royer.
She was a quality engineer at Eaton Corp., Van Wert, and taught Junior Achievement for 13 years. She was a 1984 graduate of Crestview High School and a 1986 graduate of Wright State University, earning an engineering degree, and had attended Indiana Tech.
She was a member of the Convoy United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for the church trustees, choir group and women's group. She also was a member and past president of American Society of Quality, Lima, and a member of the auxiliary of Gideons Camp, Van Wert, and the Knight Pride Club of Crestview High School.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Gregory Leigh officiating. Burial is at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling is 1-8 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
