Rita Godwin
Rita Godwin, 84, 1002 Hawthorne St., Celina, died at 6:59 a.m. Jan. 8, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Fort Recovery, to Andy and Mary Knapschaefer. On Feb. 12, 1953, she married Ralph Godwin, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Andy (Jody) of Mendon; a sister, Deloris Depweg, Coldwater; and two grandchildren.
A brother, Ralph Knapschaefer, is deceased.
She worked at Benny's Bakery and later at RG Sound in Celina. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a 1940 graduate of Fort Recovery High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
