Larry Sanders, 58, of Wapakoneta, died at approximately 8:30 a.m. April 2, 2007, in an airplane crash in Tennessee.
He was born Feb. 25, 1949, to Ted and Annette Bruns Sanders. His mother survives in Celina. On May 30, 1969, he married Jill Dues, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brad (Beth), Wapakoneta; a daughter, Kristina (Jeremy) Rudolph, North Lewisburg; a brother, Tom (Sue), Celina; two sisters, Pat (Terry) Brookhart, Celina, and Norma (Wilfred) Wolters, Coldwater; a mother-in-law, Dorma Dues, Coldwater; and two grandchildren.
He was a businessman in Wapakoneta for thirty years, operating the Pantry Pride and the Lamplighter Inn, and current co-owner of the Beer & Wine Depot Carryout. He also co-owned Sanders BBQ & Catering, Koneta Storage Units and Apollo Storage Units. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 330, AMVETS, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 and Brands Fishing Club, all of Wapakoneta, and a board member of the Wapakoneta Country Club.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Henry Albietz officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
