A Defiance County man was injured at 11:43 p.m. after crawling under a pickup truck to sleep. Problems developed when Joshua D. Sines, 29, of Defiance, decided to move the vehicle to make room for another campsite visitor.
Sines stopped abruptly when someone screamed about a person beneath the truck. Daniel Keller, 19, of Defiance, sustained injuries to both sides of his head as well as the right leg. He was treated at the scene and then transported to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
An investigating officer described the injuries as nonlife-threatening.
No charges were filed.
Deputies returned shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday on reports of a fight and a stabbing. A large group of festival-goers apparently got into a disagreement and a fight ensued with one woman being slugged.
Roy Simons, 37, of Union City, Ind., apparently was involved in the altercation at some point and sustained a laceration to the forehead. No one reported seeing a knife and none was located in the immediate area. Simons later told authorities the injury may have occurred when he fell against a sign.
At least one warning was issued regarding disorderly conduct but no formal charges were filed.
