Charles Nagel
Charles J. Nagel Jr., 78, of Germantown, died Feb. 2, 2009, at Sycamore Hospital in Germantown.
He was born April 2, 1930, in Auglaize County to Chargles J. Sr. and Odillia Schwieterman Nagel.
He married Roberta Lyday, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Joseph Anthony (Stephanie), Rollinsford, N.H.; two brothers, Sam (Joann), and Robert S. (Donna), all of New Bremen; a sister, Mary (Jim) Brown, Minster; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Nagel, Dayton, Martha Nagel, St. Marys, and Ruth Lyday of Missouri; a brother-in-law, John Korte, Marion, and a stepgranddaughter, Caitlyn.
Deceased are two sisters, Lucille Schlater and Joann Korte; five brothers, Wilfred "Bud", Herb, Ben, Don and Eugene; and a brother-in-law, Richard Lyday.
He retired from Georgia Pacific and Atlas. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Germantown, and served in the U.S. Army.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Dalton Funeral Home, Germantown and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial is at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Minster.
Contributions can be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad or charity of donor's choice.
