Wayne Ludwig
Former Mercer County resident Wayne R. Ludwig, 71, of Toledo died March 6, 2009, in St. Charles Hospital, Toledo.
He was born March 23, 1937, in New Bremen, to Herman and Hilda Ludwig.
Surviving is a son, Kevin (Josie), Holland; two daughters, Cheryl (Darrin) Good and Angie (Dan) Smith; a sister, Martha Grimes; and seven grandchildren.
He was a science and math teacher at Sharpsburg Elementary School, Fort Recovery, until 1984. He then moved to Toledo and was a substitute school teacher in the Toledo Public School System until 1994. He was a counselor for COMPASS.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Apostolic Church, Toledo.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Toledo.
