Werner Wenning
  Werner Henry Wenning, 92, Celina, died at 10:30 p.m. June 5, 2010, at The Gardens in Celina.
He was born July 10, 1917, in Coldwater, to Bernard Henry and Olivia M. Weigel Wenning. On May 11 ,1946, he married Gwenda Joan Scadding, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Nathan (Linda F.) Wenning, and Adrian (Linda K.) Wenning, both of Celina; a brother, Ernest (Joanne) Wenning, New Bremen; a sister, Viola Miller, Fort Recovery; a son-in-law, Dick (Beth) Bricker, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Wenning, Huber Heights, and Norma Wenning, Coldwater; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Sylvia Jean Bricker; a granddaughter; four brothers, Dick, Ed, Paul and Ott Wenning; and two sisters, Monica Streaker and Rosemary Timmerman.
He retired from the former Huffy Bicycle plant after 27 years service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and served in the European Theatre of Operations. He was a life member of the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He also was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
