Charles Paulus
Charles E. Paulus, 74, Russia, died at 4:22 a.m. June 8, 2010, at Southbrook Care Center in Springfield.
He was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Dayton, to Thomas L. and Josephine Placke Paulus.
Surviving are three sisters, Elizabeth (Thomas Faller) Wyen, Minster, Marie Didier, Versailles, and Lucy (Dutch) Lange, St. Henry.
Deceased are a sister and her husband, Edna and Virg Boeke, and a brother-in-law, Merrill Wyen.
He was owner and operator of Paulus Jewelry in Fort Loramie. He was a member of the U.S. Army, the American Legion in Minster, Catholic War Vets in Russia and Knights of Columbus in Russia.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. The Minster American Legion Honor Guard will conduct graveside military service.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
