Raymond Larger Sr.
Raymond Larger Sr., 91, Fort Loramie, died July 2, 2010, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney.
He was born May 25, 1919, in Fort Loramie, to Frank and Rose Cardo Larger. On April 3, 1948, he married Virginia Baker, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, the Rev. Raymond Larger, Cincinnati, Rose Marie (David) Aselage, Fort Loramie, Teresa Ann (Jeffrey) Borchers, Versailles, and Mary Catherine (Jerome) Prueter, Fort Loramie; a brother, Ralph Larger, Minster; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (H. James) Fillenwarth, Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five siblings, Esther Gaier, Bertha Maurer, Clarence Larger, Freda Moeller and Dorothy Geise; four brothers-in-law, August Gaier Sr., Edison Maurer, Elton Moeller and Raymond Geise; and three sisters-in-law, Wilma Larger, June Larger, and Sister Mary Carolyn Baker, SND.
He attended St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of St. John Commandery #300. He also served on the Fort Loramie Board of Education where he held the office of president for three terms. He was a 1937 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He retired from Larger Brothers Milk Transport, where he was co-owner and operator.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie, the Rev. Daniel Pilarczyk, the Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. today and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
