Mary Heinfeld
  Mary Heinfeld, 78, 226 N. Franklin St., New Bremen, died at 12:08 a.m. July 20, 2009, at the Golden Living Center – Valley, St. Marys.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1930, in Botkins to John S. and Florence Steinke Dietz. On Dec. 6, 1952, she married Mark Heinfeld who survives.
Other survivors are her children; David (Deb) Heinfeld, New Bremen, Duane (Carol) Heinfeld, Maria Stein, and Darlene (Pat) Prenger, Dayton; two sisters, Dolores (Paul) Weinstock, Maplewood, and Betty (Gary) Lovett, Belle Center; five grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Bernard, Henry and Donald Dietz.
She retired in 1992 from the former Huffy Corp., Celina. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, New Bremen and graduated in 1949 from Botkins High School.
Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter's Church, New Bremen, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church memorial fund, the Grand Lake Hospice or the Alzheimer's Unit of Golden Living Center – Valley, St. Marys.
Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen handled the local arrangements.
