| The car nearly landed on the doorstep of the Hopewell Township house but the driver escaped serious injury in an accident at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 6. David C. Schwieterman, 17, 9170 Hellwarth Road, Celina, was northbound on Hellwarth Road, one-tenth mile south of Oregon Road, when his car veered off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and flipped onto its top. Schwieterman declined an ambulance ride to the hospital. The heavily damaged car was towed from the scene, according to Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports. | ||
