| St. Marys resident Lois Wood received this white orchid for Mother's Day last year from her granddaughter, Amanda West. It had two blooms then and almost everyone cautioned that orchids are difficult to grow. West responded if anyone could grow it, her Gram could. Bloomless all winter, the orchid is full of blooms this week with more coming. Wood said she gives it no special treatment &emdash; just water once a week and minimum light. | ||
