| A Celina firefighter sprays water Wednesday afternoon at the site of a house fire near the intersection of Newcomb and Howick roads in Center Township. The vacant two-story home was located near a barn destroyed in a Tuesday night blaze. Celina Fire Department responded to the house fire at 11:16 a.m. with three trucks and six firefighters. St. Marys City, St. Marys Township and Mendon fire departments provided mutual aid. Firefighters remained on the scene until 5:08 p.m. making sure flames did not spread to several nearby sheds. The frame house was destroyed and the cause of the blaze remains undetermined. No dollar loss was available, according to firefighter Brian Anderson. The property owner is Bonnie Miesse, 6991 Howick Road, Celina. | ||
