Three people claimed injury after a sport utility vehicle collided with an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) pickup truck Monday afternoon at the intersection of Ohio 29 and Burrville Road. The driver of the truck, Richard D. Chaney, 57, 8929 Ohio 118, Celina, a transportation manager for ODOT, was taken to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the SUV, Jennifer Fischer, 25, 1890 Schroeder Road, Celina, and a passenger in her vehicle, Emilee Fischer, 3, same address, were taken by private vehicle to Community Hospital, Coldwater, after claiming minor injuries. The report from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office said Fischer was southbound on Burrville Road when the GMC Jimmy she was driving entered the intersection and struck the truck, causing it to overturn into a deep culvert on the south side of the roadway. Fischer was cited for failure to yield. Both vehicles sustained heavy disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Firefighters from Southwest Mercer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
