Jim Chick, left, president of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and St. Marys Mayor Greg Freewalt cut a ribbon to rededicate the hospital on its 50th anniversary. The hospital opened in 1953 as a memorial to the men and women who served the United States in World War II. Ten people were admitted on its first day of operation. Today, the six-story hospital has 600 full- and part-time employees. |
