High school students in the Coldwater Second Theater Troupe rehearse earlier this week for their production of "To See the Stars," by Cynthia Mercati. The show will be performed on the West Stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The show, based in New York City, is the story of a group of young immigrant garment workers in the 1900s who fight for better working conditions. The women of Johansen's Shirtwaist Factory endured beatings, starvation and prison time before winning the first industry-wide strike in labor history. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. |
