Two vehicles pass over the railroad crossing at Logan Street in Celina. City officials and RJ Corman are working on installing a concrete insert crossing similar to the crossing on Main Street near the lighthouse. Celina Safety-Service Director Mike Sovinski said the crossing was temporarily repaired with a mound of blacktop after the eastern track broke loose and was banging around when vehicles passed over. Several truck drivers complained because the mound was too high and caused their trailers to bounce, Sovinski said. In the next few weeks the work will be completed, with RJ Corman railroad company paying for the material and the city providing the labor.
