| U.S. Navy Seaman John Wilcox places a flag in the lawn of a home along Bernard Avenue in St. Henry this morning as Lisa Uhlenhake looks on. Wilcox’s mother-in-law, Nancy Herwig, joined 19 other St. Henry True Value employees as they canvassed the village early this morning to place 1,000 flags in the front yards of homes. True Value owners, Pat and Larry Balster, spearheaded the patriotic project to do something special for the community, they said. Wilcox, 38, of Alabama, returned from the Middle East about two weeks ago after serving on the USS Ponce. |
