The dumpsters put out for damaged carpet and other ruined items due to the flooding at area homes are overflowing at Chief’s Supermarket this morning. Celina Safety Service Director Mike Sovinski said the dumpsters are filling up quickly due to people dropping off items that were not damaged during the flood. Sovinski said air conditioners, refrigerators and paint cans cannot be dropped off in the dumpsters. The dumpsters will be kept in the supermarket parking lots through the end of the week unless the service keeps being abused, he added. Sovinski also reported that hazardous materials can be dropped off at the chemical trash collection site to be set up at the Mercer County Fairgrounds on Saturday.
