U.S. Army Warrant Officer
Phil Schmiesing fields questions from the crowd while
standing atop the Kiowa Warrior helicopter he flew from Fort Knox, Ky.,
to his sister’s farmhouse in rural Minster on Wednesday.
Schmiesing, a 1976 Minster High School graduate, got permission to bring
two army helicopters to the area where he grew up, he said.
