| St. Henry firefighters come down a ladder covered with a special foam used to extinguish a silo fire at the Clarence Siefring farm, 3559 Fort Recovery-Minster Road, on Thursday afternoon. About eight firefighters were on the scene for about 90 minutes after the fire was reported at 1:49 p.m. by Siefring’s wife, Dorothy. Fire Chief Ron Ontrop said the fire was contained to the shoot area where several silo doors sustained damage. A normal settling of dust inside the silo built up heat which ignited the hay and corn silage, Ontrop said. Damage estimates were unavailable this morning. | ||
