Exactly six months since the Independence Day flood, the Beaver Creek once again spills over its bank along U.S. 127 south of Celina. The creek flooded only to the north (to the left is the new Romer’s Catering facility) this time but apparently caused no damage to homes or businesses in that direction. Area waterways including the St. Marys and the Wabash rivers swelled quickly this past weekend as 11⁄2 inches of rain fell in the area, according to local weather forecaster Dennis Howick.
