| Four Marion Local Schools elementary students hang valentine hearts in a school hallway Wednesday, as part of a fund-raiser for the Ronald McDonald house in Dayton. Hanging hearts are fourth-grader Kristen Bertke, at left, third-grader Tiffany Bruggeman, second-grader Nathan Nagel, and first-grader Nathan Heckman. Students purchased the various-sized hearts for as little as 10 cents up to a “Super-Sized” $3, signed their names on them and hung them in the hallways throughout the school. The children raised $682 for the project, spearheaded by Principal Karen Post. |
