Warming temperatures caused large chunks of ice to break apart and pile up Wednesday on the shore of Grand Lake St. Marys along West Bank Road in Celina. More open patches of water likely will appear on the lake today and on Friday, when the temperature is expected to reach 49 degrees, according to local weather forecaster Dennis Howick.
