| Fair judges Jim Bader, left, and Short Wilker chow down on cookies as they decide which children baked the best ones for the cookie contest Friday afternoon. First place in the 5- to 8-year-old division was won by Katie Weitzel, no address given; Jordan Dues of Philothea took top honors in the 9- to 12-year-old division; and Samantha Hartings, also of Philothea, finished first in the 13- to 15-year-old division.
