Jesse Davis Jesse E. Davis, 81, 17538 Maier-Barber Road, St. Marys, died at 7:24 p.m. Sept. 15, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born June 24, 1923, in Lima, to Harold and Nellie Worrell Davis. On Nov. 18, 1950, he married Glenna E. Love who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) and Randy (Lori), all of Mendon, and Kenneth (Susan) of St. Marys; two daughters, Julie (Craig) Hopkins, New Knoxville, and Kelly (Mark) Dicke, New Bremen; two sisters, Lodean Dilsaver and Eileen (Edward) Crocker, all of St. Marys; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Francis Davis; a brother-in-law, Ira Dilsaver; and a granddaughter.
He retired as a machinist at Parker-Hannifin in St. Marys and formerly worked at the Ohio Department of Transportation in Wapakoneta and Trisco Waterproofing Co. in Lima.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. James Nuhfer officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
