State park employees clear brush and other debris along the shoreline of Grand Lake St. Marys where a 7,000-foot-long non-motorized trail will be built next spring off West Bank Road in Celina. Grand Lake St. Marys State Park Manager Craig Morton said the 10-foot-wide asphalt trail will be for walking, bicycling and skating. Funds to pay for the trail are coming from an $80,000 recreational trails grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation that was awarded earlier this year to Grand Lake St. Marys State Park. The state park will provide about $21,000 in matching funds for the project through labor, equipment and building materials.
