| A burned out shell of what was once home to Mendon firefighter Kevin John is all that remains following a blaze early Tuesday morning. The fire began in the vicinity of an electric heater in a back bedroom and spread quickly causing John, the lone occupant to flee barefoot and in pajama bottoms.
