Kurt Bergman

Kurt J. Bergman, 18, 15 Independence Ave., Minster, died at 3 p.m. Jan. 24, 2005, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to an apparent suicide.
   He was born Nov. 8, 1986, in Coldwater, to Harold and Jean Moorman Bergman. They survive in Minster.
   Also surviving are a brother, Ryan (Angela) of Findlay; a sister, Jill of Minster; and the grandmothers, Alice Moorman, Minster, and Lidwina Bergman, Coldwater.
   Deceased are the grandfathers, Virgil Moorman and Albert Bergman.
   A senior at Minster High School, he planned to attend the University of Findlay in the fall. He also owned J & K Djay Service, Minster.
   He was percussion section leader for the high school symphonic and marching band as well as drummer for the pep band and a member of the Drama Club. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Catholic Youth Organization, both of Minster, and a tissue donor.
   Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church.
   Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, has charge of arrangements.
   Contributions can be made to the family for special programs they will support in his name.


Berneice Bollenbacher

Chattanooga native Berneice A. "Beecy" Bollenbacher, 87, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Jan. 21, 2005, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
   She was born July 4, 1917, in Chattanooga, to Jacob D. and Margaret I. Huffman Bollenbacher.
   Surviving are two nephews, Dennis M. (Kathy) Cismowski, Enterprise, Ala., and Kevin L. (Marcia) Cismowski, Fort Wayne.
   A sister, LaFern M. Cismowski, is deceased.
   She retired from Ortho Manor Orthopedics and also worked at the former Latchstring Inn, The Embers, The Camelot and Senate Grill restaurants and General Electric, all of Fort Wayne. She was a member of David Parrish American Legion Auxiliary Unit 296 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 258 Auxiliary, both of Fort Wayne.
   The body was cremated and private services will be held later.
   D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, had charge of arrangements.
   Contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.


Pauline Eblen

Pauline Eblen, 1502 Queensbury Drive, Celina, died at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 25, 2005, at her home.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.


Leon Schoch

Leon Schoch, 84, of Celina, died Jan. 25, 2005, at his home.
   Arrangements are pending at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.


Services for Virginia L. Zumberge were 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiated. Organist was Cindy Van Santvoord and the Resurrection Choir sang.
   Pallbearers to St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina, were Jason Hines, Paul Knapke, Linie Zumberge, Bobby Fishbaugh, Vern Everman, Don Kittle and Bob and Kenny Sommer.
   W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, had charge of arrangements.
