Donald Albers

Donald Albers, 74, 2096 state Route 716, Maria Stein, died today, March 18, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.


Joshua Fortkamp

Joshua W. Fortkamp, 22, 3809 state Route 219, Coldwater, formerly of Fort Recovery, died at his home March 17, 2005, from an apparent suicide.
   He was born Aug. 5, 1982, in Coldwater, to Robert and Bonnie Dues Fortkamp who survive in Fort Recovery.
   Other survivors are a brother, Jason of Coldwater; four sisters, Sarah of Coldwater, and Stacy, Beth and Lindsey, all of Fort Recovery; grandparents Vincent and Jean Fortkamp of Fort Recovery, and Mildred Dues, Coldwater.
   Deceased is a brother, Eric, and a grandfather, August Dues.
   He worked at Dillers Custom Plumbing, St. Anthony, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg. A 2001 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, he received an ag-mechanics degree from Northwestern University, Lima, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3324, Fort Recovery.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. A prayer service led by the Knights of Columbus will be held at 7:45 p.m. Sunday followed by a wake service.


Eunice Krumlauf

Eunice Luella Watts Krumlauf, 88, of Upper Arlington, died March 9, 2005, in Denver, Colo.
   She was born Nov. 2, 1916, in Bartow, Fla., to former Mendon residents Gail and Ada Watts. In 1940, she married Martin Krumlauf who is deceased.
   Surviving are two sons, Barry (Susie) of Woodburn, Colo., and Bruce (Lillian) of Denver; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a sister, Verna Watts Cook.
   A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. May 14 at The Covenant Presbyterian Church, Upper Arlington, the Rev. Tracy Keenan officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Mendon Cemetery.
   Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.


Kathy Menchhofer

Kathy Menchhofer, 46, 5829 Wabash Road, Coldwater, died today, March 18, 2005, in the emergency room at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.


Meredith Piper

Meredith Piper, 75, 310 Jill Ave., Celina, died at 10:15 p.m. March 17, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
   He was born July 14, 1929, in Center Township, to Archie A. and Elma A. Henne Piper. On April 2, 1948, he married Jean Goodwin who survives.
   Other survivors are two sons, Timothy (Corinne) of Elida, and Jeffrey of New Bremen; two daughters, Christina (Gary) Risner, Piqua, and Pamela (Fred) Fisher, Toledo; a sister, Ellen Wolfe, Celina; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are three brothers, Ward, Wayne and Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Lorna Piper; and a grandson.
   He was a farmer and retired from Celina Insurance Group. He was a member of St. Pauls and Edgewood United Methodist churches. A 1947 graduate of the former Mendon High School, he was a member of the Celina lodge 241 of the Free & Accepted Masons, the Auglaize-Mercer 32nd Degree Club and past Worthy Patron of Celina chapter 91 of the Order of Eastern Star.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
