Nathan Hanna

Nathan Burnell Hanna, 18, 1015 Rosewood Drive, Celina, died at 4:30 p.m. March 21, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, following an accident earlier that day on I-75 in Dayton.
   He was born April 4, 1986, in Van Wert, to Ray and Ruth Hammons Hanna who survive in Celina.
   Other survivors are a brother, Daniel of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Sheryl of Troy; grandparents Vernis and Martha of Celina, and stepgrandmother, Betty Hammons.
   Deceased are grandparents Burnell and Innes Hammons.
   He worked at Versa Pak Inc., Celina, and was a member of Living Hope Assembly of God, St. Marys. He was a 2004 graduate of Celina High School where he participated on the track and cross country teams. As a student, he was awarded a State Governor Award in High School Art.
   Services are 11 a.m. March 26 at the church, the Rev. John Nunnally officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
   Contributions can be made to the Celina Parks & Recreation Skateboard Park Fund.


Pauline Koons

Pauline Christian Koons, 87, 6955 state Route 703, Celina, died March 21, 2005, at her winter home in Sebring, Fla.
   She was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Moulton, to Vernon and Ella Schultz Poppe. On July 7, 1940, she married Francis Christian who died in Dec. 1982. On Dec. 27, 1991, she married John Koons who died April 4, 2003.
   Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Jeffrey) Tuneberg, Celina; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a daughter, Judy Walters, and a brother, Hubert Poppe.
   She was a retired clerk at McKirnan Brothers, Celina. A graduate of the former Neptune High School, she was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Celina.
   Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.


Matilda Maier

Matilda R. Maier, 90, 122 S. Leblond St., Celina, died today, March 23, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.


Rita Penno

Rita Penno, 91, of Coldwater, died today, March 23, 2005, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. A complete obituary will appear in Thursday's paper.
