A well-used drum gets some fast swipes from the drumsticks of 78-year-old Jimmy Baltes of Frenchtown. The director of The Legendary Jimmy Baltes Band has been taping out rhythm since he first picked up a pair of tobacco laths in his parents' Darke County chicken coop at the age of 11. The chickens didn't care for his music but thousands of fans throughout the area have danced or tapped their feet to his infectious beat. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
