  The Yellow Jackets won the first game, 7-3, and the Bulldogs salvaged the split with a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

  Jordan Heuker had three hits and Joe Roberts had two in a losing effort in the first game.
  Joe Clouse (2-0) picked up the win in the second game for Celina, which improves to 6-2 on the season.
  Heuker had two doubles and two RBI in the second game. Eric Braun, who also had his third save of the year, had two hits with a double for the Bulldogs, while Luthman and Roberts each had two singles.
  Celina hosts Lima Central Catholic today in a single game.

Cavaliers work overtime for sweep
  Coldwater bounced back from the first loss of the season on Friday to sweep Bath in a Saturday twinbill.
  The first game went over as Troy Siefring's 10th-inning double brought in the winning runs in the Cavs' 7-4 win. The second game went just seven as Coldwater won 6-1 over the Wildcats.
  Gaston Pleiman picked up the win after relieving Steve Borger. Matt Howell picked up the win in game two.
  Coldwater (7-1) heads back to Limaland today for a game at Lima Senior.

Roughriders split with Cowboys
  St. Marys saw its record go to 6-2 after splitting with Wyoming on Saturday.
  The Cowboys won the first game 7-6 in 10 innings with the Roughriders taking game two 12-2.
  Todd Graves had two doubles in the first game as Tom Burke suffered the loss. Korey Hullinger picked up the win in game two.
  St. Marys (6-2) travels to Defiance for the Western Buckeye League opener on Tuesday.

Indians sweep Jets
  Fort Recovery improved to 6-3 with a doubleheader sweep at Fairlawn.
  In game one, Bobby Rammel went seven innings and struck out eight as the Indians held off a late Jet rally to win 5-4. Rammel aslo had two hits.
  In the second game, the Tribe scored 13 runs in the top of the seventh to win 18-5. Brad Fortkamp struck out 10 to improve to 2-2. Todd Post and Sean Kahlig each had doubles and Tony Diller had three hits.
  Fort Recovery is at Franklin-Monroe today.
  On Friday, Fort Recovery won 12-4 over Fort Loramie. Greg Faller, Matt Hein and Dusty Tobe each had home runs.

SOFTBALL
'Riders split with Wildcats
  St. Marys and Minster split a Saturday doubleheader on Saturday at K.C. Geiger Park in St. Marys.
  Minster won the first game 3-2 while the Roughirders shutout the Wildcats 4-0 in the finale.
  Jessica Enderud lost the first game despite striking out eight and walking none. Enderud took the second game with six punchouts and no walks.
  Erin Stueve won the first game with four strikeouts and no walks, then allowed two walks and six hits in the second game to get the loss.
  Laura Dircksen went 5-for-7 in the twinbill.
  St. Marys hosts Defiance in the WBL lidlifer on Tuesday while Minster hosts Anna at Four Seasons Park on Tuesday.

Cavs sweep Jets
  Coldwater improved to 5-3 with two wins over Franklin-Monroe on Saturday.
  The Cavaliers won the first game 8-5 before taking a shortened five-inning game 8-2 in the nightcap. Brooke Gross won the first game for Coldwater with Amber Heyne taking the second.
  Tasha Stucke went 3-for-5 with a home run on the afternoon. Danielle Goubeaux also homered.
  Coldwater is at Shawnee today.

Cardinals sweep doubleheader
  New Bremen improved to 3-3 on the season with a doubleheader sweep against Anna on Saturday.
  In game one, Julie Griesdorn struck out eight and hit a two-run triple to give the Cardinals a 5-4 win with four runs in the bottom in the seventh. Morgan Cox singled home Griesdorn for the game-winner.
  In the second game, Maria Staton struck out 10 as the Cards won 9-1. Erika Bell and Cox each had doubles.
  New Bremen hosts Covington today.

Indians swept by Cougars
  Fort Recovery drops to 2-5 with two losses to Van Wert on Saturday.
  In game one, the Cougars won 3-1. Alysha Scheidt scattered seven hits to get her seventh win of the spring. Alyssa Tobe suffered the loss.
  The second game saw the Indians lose 4-3. Jill Wehrkamp suffered the loss.
  Fort Recovery hosts Celina today.

Panthers win a pair
  Parkway took wins from Archbold and Evergreen on Saturday up in Archbold.
  In the first game, the Panthers scored in the top of the seventh to take a 1-0 win. Kristin Roth improved to 2-1 with the win. Brittany Young tripled for Parkway.
  In game two, Laura Art allowed three hits as the Panthers won 14-1. Parkway scored six times in the top of the sevneth to put the game away for good. Katie King and Tiff Steinbrunner each had doubles for Parkway.
  Parkway hosts Crestview on Tuesday.

Redskins swept
  St. Henry lost a pair of games to Greenville on Saturday, falling 7-0 in the opener and 4-0 in the finale to drop to 1-7 on the season.
  The Redskins weere helpd to one hit in game one and four hits in game two.
  St. Henry is at Marion Local for a non-league game on Tuesday.

TRACK
Cards and Cats win Anna Invite
  Minster easily captured the girls title at the 2005 Anna Invitational, outscoring runner-up Crestview 153-70. New Bremen was third with New Knoxville sixth.
  The New Bremen boys edged out Minster for the boys title. The Cardinals scored 149 1/2 with the Wildcats getting 118 1/2. New Knoxville was 14th.
  Cardinal hurdle ace Troy Lammers won both the 110 and 300 hurdles, setting new meet records in both events. Lammers also won the 200 dash.
  New Bremen also got wins from Jeff Thobe in the shot put, Kevin Heitkamp in the pole vault and Chris Grant in the long jump.
  Minster countered with Michael McVety winning the 100 dash, Austin Winner taking the 800 run and Dane Sommer winning the discus.
  In the girls meet, Minster dominated, winning eight events. Brigitte Sherman took the 800 and 1,600 run and Amy Kremer taking the 300 hurdles and high jump.
  New Knoxville brought home a winning 1,600 relay team and Gina Bambauer took the girls 100.
  Minster hosts the annual Minster Memorial on Saturday.
