Houser-Steen
   Jordan Ross Houser-Steen, 16, 12175 state Route 707, Mendon, was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. May 31, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, following an automobile accident at the intersection of Fleetfoot Road and state Route 29.
   He was born July 11, 1988, in St. Marys, to Jonathan and Shyla Hoenie Houser. His mother and stepfather, Dan Houser, survive in Mendon; his father, Jonathan Steen, and stepmother, Carlene Steen, survive in Celina.
   Other survivors are two brothers, Camdan and Ashdan Houser-Steen, Mendon; a half brother, Jonathan Steen, Celina; a half sister, Sierra Steen, Celina; maternal grandparents Sharon Hoenie and Ed (Connie) Hoenie, all of St. Marys; a paternal grandfather, Robert Goins of Nevada; stepgrandparents, Jim (Thelma) Houser, Mendon; great-grandparents, Jannette Burger and Dottie Davis, of Celina, and Jack Steen of Celina.
   Deceased are grandparents Dorothy Kay Goins and great-grandparents, Clarence and Thelma Thompson and Edwin Hoenie.
   He recently completed his sophomore year at Parkway High School and volunteered at the CALL Food Pantry in Celina.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Jordan Houser-Steen Memorial Fund.


Gary Zehringer

Gary R. Zehringer, 48, 202 E. Butler St., Fort Recovery, died June 2, 2005 in the St. Francis Catholic Church parking lot in Cranberry of apparent natural causes.
   He was born June 6, 1956, in Coldwater, to James Sr. and Rita Fortkamp Zehringer. His mother survives in Fort Recovery. On Aug. 16, 1975 in St. Henry he married Linda Tumbusch, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Ryan and Matt, both of Toledo; a daughter, Kelly of Fort Recovery; five brothers: Paul (Sue), Mesa, Ariz., Joe (Tonia), Union City, Chuck (Pam), Montezuma, Jim (Sharon), Fort Recovery, and Dan, Cincinnati; seven sisters: Mary Ann (Frank) Gibson, Phoenix, Ariz., Linda (John) Ridgway, Hilliard, Theresa (Ken) Jutte and Jane (Jim) Rammel, all of Fort Recovery, Margaret (Mike) Tobe and Nancy (Dean) Darland, all of Celina, and Barb (Chris) Stucke, Cincinnati; and his mother-in-law, Mary Tumbusch, St. Henry.
   Deceased is a brother, Ray, and his father-in-law, Ralph Tumbusch.
   A 1974 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, he formerly owned and operated Zehringer's Carry-Out, Fort Recovery, and was currently employed by Dannon Yogurt, Minster.
   He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3324, Fort Recovery.
   Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery where a Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Sunday followed by a wake service.
   Memorials may be made to the Gary Zehringer Memorial Fund c/o the Fort Recovery Community Foundation.
