Most stations in the area have gas priced at $2.98 or $2.99 a gallon. According to the U.S. Minerals Management Services, Gulf Coast refineries are slowly recovering, but almost 70 percent of normal oil production and half of the natural gas output remains shut down due to the hurricane. The average gas price in Ohio is $3.03 today, according to OhioGasPrices.com.
