Minster American Legion Post 387 members Virgil Arling, at left, Kurt Lammers and Gerry Huelsman place a flag at the gravesite of World War II veteran Paul Borges in observance of Veterans Day. Representatives of the Minster post placed more than 200 American flags at St. Augustine Cemetery in Minster as well as seven at St. Joseph Cemetery in neighboring Egypt. Similar flag placement and other memorial services are being held throughout the area today to recognize the sacrifices men and women have made throughout the years in the interest of freedom.
