| | A downed transformer and power lines lay in the foreground as rescue personnel approach the heavily damaged van of Donald W. Lange Jr., 45, of Geneva, Ind., following an accident at 8:13 a.m. Thursday along Tama Road west of Stose Road. Lange was eastbound when the van drove off the left side of the road striking a utility pole and roll over, according to Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports. Lange and four passengers, including Benjamin D. Eicher, 31, of Geneva, and Samuel D. Eicher, 32, of Bryant, Ind., were taken by ambulances to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. Their conditions and the names of the other passengers were not available.
