Christmas walk

A1 / Shelley Grieshop

A group of 3-year-olds are led down a long aisle of deep red poinsettias by their teacher, Carolyn Highley of Grace Land Preschool in Celina. The children learned all about the holiday flower during the field trip Wednesday to Garden Emporium Greenhouse and Flower Shop in rural Celina. The traditional Christmas plant is named after Joel Poinsett, who first discovered it growing in Mexico. Monday is National Poinsettia Day.
