  As many as three children in every class of 30 has some degree of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), which can cause inattention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior, according to Russell Barkley, a leading research psychologist on the subject. Approximately 1.6 million elementary-aged school children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with the medical condition, reports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
