A great blue heron diligently patrols one of the channels at Windy Point in Montezuma on Monday. Although there wasn't any boat traffic to monitor, sunshine and a high temperature of 41 degrees brought a touch of spring to the Grand Lake area. Today's high is predicted at 39 degrees and Wednesday's at 52.
