Marianne Jones, second from left, who began her 300-mile walk along U.S. 127 from Mecosta, Mich., to Greenville on April 28, passed through Celina on Wednesday. The purpose of her "Walking a Path for Life" effort is to draw attention to the care that hospice provides patients and families. Her mother was cared for by State of the Heart Hospice, of Greenville, and financial support for her walk in Ohio will go to that agency. In Michigan, the proceeds collected are earmarked for the senior citizens center in her hometown area. Walking with the 65-year-old retired school teacher north of Celina are her sister, Bobbi Nigro, left, of New York, her cousin, Rowena Stump, of Greenville, and Amy Rudy, patient care liaison with State of the Heart. She is expected to be in Greenville on Saturday.
