Sunny skies and 77-degree weather brought people outside throughout the Grand Lake area on Wednesday.

Workers from D&G Concrete of Celina and Celina street and recreation departments build a concrete slab along Lake Shore Drive. The area will be used for a food court for the Freedom Days festival to be held June 30 to July 2. The work is being paid for by the Celina American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars organizations, who also sponsor the festival.

Local weather forecaster Dennis Howick is calling for another beautiful day, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching 80 degrees today. Temperatures will continue to rise with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s this weekend, he says.
