Bruggeman
   Dick H. Bruggeman, 71, 8561 state Route 119, Maria Stein, died at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 11, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. He had been ill for the past year.
   He was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Maria Stein, to Joseph and Regina Riethman Bruggeman. On Nov. 4, 1959, he married Ruth A. Hilgefort, who survives.
   Also surviving are three sons, Joe (Kay), David (Michelle), and Don (Stephanie), all of St. Henry; two daughters, Deborah (Dan) Beyke, St. Sebastian, and Sheila (Ron) Wente, New Bremen; a sister, Mary (Leo) Dietz, Maria Stein; two brothers-in-law, Clifford Dietz, Botkins, and Walter Boehmer, St. Marys; and 15 grandchildren.
   Deceased are an infant daughter, Mary Ann; a brother, Jerome; and two sisters, Grace Dietz and Bea Boehmer.
   He was retired from Thieman Stamping, New Bremen, and a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served in the Korean War. He was also a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Maria Stein, and its men's sodality. He was a 1952 graduate of St. John School, Maria Stein.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
  Loren Levi
   Loren S. Levi, 69, of Connersville, Ind., died Aug. 9, 2006, at his residence.
   He was born Jan 4., 1937, in Connersville, to Ernest and Violet Young Levi. He married Faith E. Baucom, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Eli, Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Marsha L. Levi Abercrombie, Violet A. (Marshall Jr.) Reed, and Lorane J., all of Connersville; two brothers, Leo (Eleanor) and Eldon (Shirley), all of Celina; 10 grandchildren and a stepgrandchild.
   Deceased are a daughter, Jovetta Hope Harvey; three brothers, Farrell, Ernest and Norman; and four sisters, Naomi Block, Annabelle Young, Doris Davis and Elma Firestone.
   He retired from Visteon, Connersville, after 37 years and also worked at a sawmill in Fayette County. As a teen, he worked at Jessop's Caramel Corn, a vendor stand at area fairs. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1065 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1160, all of Connersville.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, the Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
   Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A graveside service for Ruth Joan Sickles slated for Saturday, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, has been canceled.
   The service has been postponed, and at press time was not yet rescheduled. Funeral arrangements are being handled by W. H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.


Betty Morris

Services for Betty A. Morris were held Aug. 9, 2006, at Pike Run Cemetery, Goomer, the Rev. Esther Cottrell officiated.
   Funeral arrangements were handled by Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.
