Jefferson Twp. fire levy, liquor options to appear on Nov. 5 ballot
Election November 2013
CELINA - A fire protection renewal levy in Jefferson Township and two liquor options in Celina precinct C will be on the Nov. 5 ballot at the general election.
Voters in unincorporated Jefferson Township will decide the fate of a 1.5-mill renewal levy for fire protection. Passage would result in collection of approximately $112,461 per year for a period of five years.
The cost to the owner of a $100,000 home would be $42.98 annually, according to Mercer County Auditor Randy Grapner.
Voters in Celina precinct C will vote on liquor options for Walmart and Perfect Party Events.
Walmart Supercenter, 1950 Havemann Road, Celina, will be permitted to sell wine and mixed beverages on Sundays between 11 a.m. and midnight if the levy is approved by voters, according to the Mercer County Board of Elections.
Voters also will be asked to approve two liquor options for Perfect Party Events, 909 E. Wayne, St., Suite 117, which is owned by Make Facilities LLC. One would permit the catering business to sell spiritous liquors in the precinct and the other would permit the selling of spiritous liquor on Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
