The home of Jim Wasson sustained heavy fire and smoke damage on Saturday January 24, at 12:50 p.m. Wasson escaped the blaze but was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital for treatment and then released. At least two of his numerous cats perished in the blaze. Wasson, who had played Santa Clause, and was a little league referee, had no insurance for his mobile home on lot 151 of the West-side Mobile Home Court.
