CELINA - County commissioners have approved more than $150,000 in cruiser and related equipment purchases since December to upgrade the Mercer County Sheriff's Office's fleet of vehicles.
It's part of an overall shift to replace the Dodge patrol cruisers with Ford Interceptor SUVs, according to sheriff Jeff Grey. [More]

NEW KNOXVILLE - Minster, New Bremen and New Knoxville village officials and business leaders came together at the annual State of the Villages Breakfast on Tuesday to review last year's achievements and to share what they plan to accomplish in 2018.
Minster Mayor Dennis Kitzmiller said last year was busy for the village in terms of improvement projects, and he sees the coming year being similar in that regard. [More]

Mercer County Commissioners on Tuesday approved an ordinance authorizing raising monthly sewer rate for both villages by $5.70 to $84.60. The new rate will go into effect on April 1.
Fort Recovery falls to Franklin Monroe 38-33
FORT RECOVERY - Turnovers and rebounding were Fort Recovery's Achilles' heel on Tuesday night.
The state-ranked Indians committed 22 turnovers and gave up 14 offensive rebounds as Franklin Monroe overcame an early 10-point deficit for a stunning 38-33 victory at Fort Site Fieldhouse.
