08-06-03: MC Fair Highlights
Today is Kids and DARE Day at the Mercer County Banner Fair. Activities range from the diaper derby at 5:30 p.m. to the marching band competition at 7 p.m. Climaxing the second day's schedule is an 8 p.m. performance by Marcus and Megan Mullins, who have outgrown their former Little Fiddlers billing.
Tonight
    - 5:30 p.m. - Diaper derby at the entertainment tent
    - 6 p.m. - Church service at the entertainment tent
    - 6 p.m. - Pony show
    - 7 p.m. - High school marching band show at the grandstand
    - 7:30 p.m. - Senior carcass judging in the swine area
    - 8 p.m. - Marcus and Megan Mullins, formerly known as The Little Fiddlers, in the entertainment tent.
    
Thursday
(Veterans'/Seniors' Day)
    - 10:30 a.m. - Open class dairy show
    - 11 a.m. - Senior citizen lunch and activities at the entertainment tent
    - Noon - Crime awareness talk at the entertainment tent
    - 1 p.m. - Senior citizen king and queen contest at the entertainment tent
    - 2 p.m. - Senior citizens cookie contest at the entertainment tent
    - 3 p.m. - Harmonica John show at the entertainment tent
    - 6 p.m. - Veterans ceremony at the grandstand
    - 7 p.m. - Mercer County bicentennial bell dedication ceremony at the entertainment tent
    - 8 p.m. - Kentucky Sisters concert at the grandstand
